E-beira is a classified ads community specifically for the central Beiras region of Portugal (currently Tábua, Arganil, Oliveira do Hospital, Carregal do Sal, Santa Comba Dão, Tondela, Nelas, Seia, Penacova). The aim is simple — to help match unwanted items with people who want them. You can post items for sale or to give away. Or even for barter. And if there’s something you need, try a wanted ad.

E-beira is easy to use. To browse items being offered for sale, barter or giveaway, simply choose one of the main categories (which you will see listed to the left). To post your own advertisement, click New Listing and choose a category (For Sale, Wanted, etc.). If you haven’t used E-beira Classifieds before, you will need to choose a username and password. Also, you will have to provide some details about yourself, including an email address at which you can be contacted by people responding to your ad. Then just fill in the details of your item, click Save, and away you go…

For the moment, this site is really just a proof-of-concept thing; it has a number of rough edges that I hope to get ironed out in the near future if it proves to be a useful (and well used) service.
