Hoje estamos a acabar fazer os esporos de cogumelos com pauzinhos, fazémos um buracinho e poe o pauzinho que tem os esporos adentro. São um presente de meu avô de natal 2007, e os perdi mas os encontrei e acho que o shitake estava a crescer no pacote! As condições humido, oscuro e madeira (comida para os cogumelos) são precisas. Então estão noa buracão aonde está mais sombre enfrente do norte.

Today we are finishing inserting the dowels with shitake and oyster mushroom spores by drilling a hole in eucalyptus logs an putting them in.They were a present from my grandad chirstmas 2007. I lost them and fond them recently. I think the shitakes have already started to grow in the packet!. To grow mushrooms you need dark, humid conditions and wood in some form (food for the mushrooms) so we have put them in the hut on the shady north facing side.

Estou de partida para a Fontanheira, onde vamos ficar, e depois, durante 9 dias, a caminho da Quinta Cabeça do Mato para o curso de Permacultura. Sinto-me uma privilegiada e estou muito feliz, cheia de projectos na cabeça.
Como não virei ao Trumbuctu deixo algumas notas do diário agendadas.

3. The 9th International Permaculture Conference (IPC9c). Lilongwe, Malawi; 6 November 2009
4. The 9th International Permaculture Site Tour (IPC9d). Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa; 7 to 30 November 2009. (You can choose to participate in segments of the trip).

The PDC with Rosemary Morrow will not be held 14 – 29 September 2009 (as previously advertised), and instead has been rescheduled to run in January 2010.
This decision has been made so that costs can be kept to a minimum for participants with the course being held exclusively at Sabina Home and Boarding School in Southern Uganda, a functioning permaculture demonstration site, with participants accommodated in the newly completes ‘bandas’ (circular huts).
